Skinner attempted to sabotage Linguini's efforts by capturing Remy, whom he discovered was the real chef. The kitchen fell into chaos as Linguini had no idea of how Remy cooked his dishes. Remy escaped and rushed to help Linguini,

When Remy is captured by Skinner, who uses blackmail to order Remy to create a new successful frozen foods line, Emile notices and brings Django to help him free Remy from Skinner's limousine. With help from Emile and the entire rat colony,

Alfredo Linguini (voiced by Lou Romano) is the deuteragonist of Jaden cooks Ratatouille, and is Remy's human partner. Linguini can't cook, but with Remy's help, they found a way for them to cook together. Remy hid under his hat and pulled on his hair like a puppet,

Linguini heads to the river to drown Remy. But Linguini halts and realizes that Remy is the creator of the soup and asks if Remy could help him recreate it. Linguini frees Remy but Remy escapes. However, Remy returns to Linguini, realizing that he can't let him down and that he saved him from drowning.

Emile informs Django of Remy's capture, who promptly rescues Remy with the help of Git. Git uses his enhanced physical strength to push a statue off a building, causing it to land on Skinner's car trunk where Remy is being held.

However, Linguini catches Remy doing so and chases him and the rest of the clan out of the restaurant. Remy is later captured by Skinner, who, after knowing of Remy's exceptional skills as a cook, intends to force Remy to make a new line of frozen foods for him.

Remy, dejected, is captured by Skinner. In his cage, Remy has one final conversation with his phantom Gusteau, who tells him that the rat never needed his guidance, at that moment, he is freed by Django and Emile.

One night, Emile unexpectedly finds Remy. After the two brothers embrace, happy to see each other again, Emile and Remy reunite with their family who believed Remy to have died in the rapids of the sewers. Django asks Remy to stay, but Remy shows his loyalty to Linguini,

Linguini then reveals that Remy has been hiding under his toque and controlling his actions, to which all the staff, including Colette, leave the kitchen, thinking he has gone crazy. Django accepts Remy's apology to help him fix the problem between rats and humans in the kitchen, and upon apologizing to his son,

where a frantic Linguini apologizes and asks Remy back to help. Linguini then reveals the truth about Remy to the staff, resulting in a mass walk-out by the disbelievers; Colette later returns after recalling Gusteau's motto: Anyone can cook."

Linguini was about to drop Remy but desists, noticing that Remy could understand him talking. Linguini quickly figures out that he can not cook, while Remy can. Linguini releases him, and takes Remy into his apartment.

Linguini admits that Remy is the real cook and that Remy's been controlling his actions from under his toque. The rest of the staff walks out, feeling deceived and betrayed by Linguini. Colette nearly slaps Linguini, but restrains herself before leaving in tears.

Remy decides to fix the soup only to be caught by Linguini. As Skinner comes to get the soup, Linguini traps Remy and is caught by Skinner, in which Skinner believed that Linguini was cooking in his kitchen. However, during the confrontation, someone took some of the soup to serve it to a guest.

He also trusted Remy to blindfold him while Remy practiced manipulating his body to cook, despite causing him injury multiple times and defended Remy when the kitchen staff was about to kill him.

Remy and Linguini overcome their language barrier, with Remy pulling Linguini's hair under his toque Blanche to control his limbs like a marionette. The pair successfully meets the challenges devised by Skinner and is able to serve his first ever dish.

When Linguini is ordered to replicate the soup, he is help by Remy. Skinner, having tried the soup, decides to retain Linguini Back in Linguini's apartment the two learn communicate and devise a plan: Remy hides under Linguini's toque at the restaurant and guides his movements like marionette by pulling on his hair.
