Is The Parody Wiki going to eventually shut down? People are saying that movie-spoofs and all that sort of stuff are apparently no longer allowed here on The Parody Wiki.

The Parody Wiki has always been a hub for recasts and the like. They've always been referred to as "spoofs" and "parodies despite most of them not fully matching their actual definitions. We attempted to make the Parody Wiki a place for actual parodies

The Parody Wiki is the wiki where actual parodies are the last thing you'll find here. For unknown reasons the terms "spoof" and "parody" have long been used in referring to "recasts" and "roleswaps," or Character X as Character Y.

You completely missed the point of the video. The video was made to expose The Parody wiki and show why its "parodies" are garbage and that its users don't know what parodies even are Not to mention there are a lot of pages with info about extinct and living animals. I thought this was The Parody wiki not the biology wiki.

I am actually reconsidering the plan I originally posted because there's so many pages on the parody wiki. So what might happen is that we merge my recast wiki, scratchpad, and others into the parody wiki. On this wiki, parody/spoof will also be used to refer to recasts, because that's how it's always been.

Dude, this place is LOADED with parodies! So, what's the point of having a parody wiki if parodies are not allowed on it? Something tells me that this wiki is eventually going to be shut down sometime soon. Am I right?

But people just kept making recasts on the Parody Wiki and most of them didn't seem to understand why they weren't spoofs. Recast and spoof have been (inaccurately) synonymous for many, many years, and the Parody Wiki has been the place for them for just as long.

Don't be sad. This wiki is garbage. Its "parodies" are garbage, its filled with poorly written pages and poorly edited posters there are pages about extinct and living animals (this is supposed to the parody wiki not the biology wiki) and the users don't know what even is a parody.
